Our Story
At What is Math LLC, we’re passionate about making math accessible and empowering students to succeed. Based in Golden, Colorado, we work with students nationwide, from New York City to San Francisco.
Our founder, Cristina, has been tutoring since 2010, dedicating herself to helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in inside and outside the classroom. In 2020, What is Math LLC transitioned to fully online tutoring, offering flexible, effective learning without the hassle of commuting. Virtual sessions provide shared resources, real-time problem-solving, and a supportive environment for academic growth.
We’re here to celebrate progress and make learning a positive experience every step of the way.
How Virtual Sessions Work
We use Zoom and a virtual whiteboard to create an interactive and engaging learning experience. Students and tutors can collaborate effectively, sharing notes, worksheets, assignments, and classwork with ease. The virtual whiteboard facilitates convenient access to many resources, such as notes, worksheets, and supplementary materials. On top of that, it allows us to easily exchange handwritten assignments, graded work, and other relevant classwork, making collaboration efficient and productive.
Students will need a laptop, desktop, or tablet with a webcam, mic, and stable internet, plus a quiet space to learn. Zoom links and whiteboard access are provided at no extra cost.
